To create an account, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher. Users between 13 and the applicable minimum age may use the Platform only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on their behalf. The Platform is not intended for children under 13, or under any higher minimum age that applies in your country under local law.

LearnPath is a course discovery, guidance, and practice tool — not a course publisher. Specifically:

• We reference and link to courses produced by third parties on external platforms; we do not host, sell, or distribute the underlying course content.
• Course recommendations are guided by topics you've already completed, refreshed on a monthly basis to reflect a broad range of learning material.
• Our AI assistant provides guides, answers questions, and generates summaries related to your learning progress.
• Our Codelab lets you write, run, and test your own code in a sandboxed environment.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• Prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) and may be subject to VAT, sales tax, or other applicable taxes based on your location, charged in accordance with local law.
• Payments are processed exclusively through PayPal, subject to PayPal's own terms of service. PayPal is the only payment method we accept, and we do not store full payment card details on our servers.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds, where applicable, are handled in accordance with the consumer protection laws that apply in your jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions grant statutory rights (such as cooling-off periods or mandatory refund rights) that these Terms do not override.

You agree not to:

• Use the Codelab to write, test, or execute malicious code, including malware, code intended to gain unauthorized access to systems, or code that disrupts the Platform or third-party systems — conduct that may also violate computer misuse or cybercrime laws in your jurisdiction.
• Attempt to circumvent security features, scrape the Platform, or access accounts other than your own.
• Use the AI assistant to generate content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person.
• Use the Platform for any purpose prohibited under the laws applicable to you.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, and to report unlawful activity to relevant authorities where required.

The Platform links to courses hosted on external, independently operated platforms. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the availability, accuracy, or quality of that third-party content, or for the terms and privacy practices of those external platforms. Your use of any linked course is governed by that provider's own terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LearnPath shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including reliance on AI-generated content, third-party course material, or code tested in the Codelab. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law applicable to you.

Our collection and processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. Depending on where you are located, this processing may be subject to region-specific frameworks — for example the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 (enforced by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the EU/UK, the CCPA/CPRA in California, or other applicable national data protection laws — which may grant you specific rights of access, correction, deletion, or objection beyond what is described generally in these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or unlawful conduct. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through account settings. Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
